HFCRD Celebrates Education Week 2019 – Learning is a Journey

  Posted: April 29, 2019

Monday April 29th to Friday May 3rd is Education Week across Alberta. The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) would like to take this opportunity to encourage all staff, students and community members to reflect on this year’s theme Learning is a Journey. Alberta is very blessed to have a world class education system that offers a high quality education for all students, and protects a parent’s right to choose.

“This Education Week, I am thankful for the journey of education, and the bright future of all students. The theme Learning is a Journey is very applicable as learning does not end at graduation,” said Superintendent Betty Turpin. “We should all remain open to learning no matter our age and strive to improve. I hope students learn this valuable lesson and apply it to their lives as they get older.”

Schools are the hearts of all communities. Creating high quality schools is only possible through the hard work and dedication of an entire school community. HFCRD would like to recognize all HFCRD staff for the incredible work you do in our division to keep their community strong. Educating a child is an important responsibility that has lasting effects beyond our years. Every staff member’s role is important and vital to making a school and a school division provide safe learning environments and high quality education for students.
